Rangehoods help remove cooking odors from your kitchen and can also enhance the styling of your kitchen. Use the guidelines below to help choose a hood that will fit your needs.

CFM: Cubic feet per minute. Rangehoods can start as low as 150cfm and work their way up over 1500cfm. The average household will do fine between 200 - 400cfm.

Style: Make note on how the rangehood will attach. The styles are under cabinet, wall, Island, Insert.

Width: Most hoods will do fine as the same width of your cooking appliance. If remodeling choose a hood that will extend 3" beyond your cooking surface, ex. Range is 30" wide, rangehood should be 36"

Lighting: Incandescent or Halogen, Halogen has a "warmer more natural feel"

Filters: Most rangehoods come with mesh filters, Baffle filters provide less restriction and easier to clean.
